First Aid 2.0 (Red Dot Design Award 2011)
First Aid Refined, Redefined
First Aid 2.0 is an evolutionary first-aid kit with LED luminance and a red cross-shaped touch screen. The screen provides comprehensive and concise instructions for the administering of first aid in the most efficient way.

More evolutionary than revolutionary, First Aid 2.0 redefines and refines the process of administering first aid, which is the crucial first step in saving lives. Portable and accessible, First Aid 2.0 can be used at home, in the office, during travel, and in the outdoors. Fool proof to use, First Aid 2.0 features an LED touchscreen that provides step-by-step instructions for the administering of first aid. Frequent injuries and their treatment are bookmarked on the screen’s home page.

When tragedy strikes, fear and panic can make the situation worse – especially if you are in an unfamiliar place. First Aid 2.0 offers GPS capability to help you locate the nearest hospital and connect to it. It could also help a rescue team locate you if you happen to be lost.

A tapered LED strip illuminates the surface of the box, acting as a beacon in the dark. Utilising a lithium-ion battery and AC power, First Aid 2.0 can also function as wall lamp when it is mounted onto a wall. The device consumes little energy, even when it constantly in use. Power consumption remains extremely low when it is in standby mode. First Aid 2.0 is capable of operating for a full twenty-four hours without recharging, or six months when it is in standby mode.
